ORIENTATION HANDOUTS

Where do you fall on these:

HOMEWORK

Homework is “pick your level.”

Many people think “courage” means “not being afraid.” But, courage is a quality that people can draw on when they must do something, even when they are afraid. Courage is what allows you to be yourself, to take risks, to have convictions, and to stand up for what you believe, even when it is hard to do so. Skadi had to draw on courage to avenge her father’s death. She also had to draw on courage while trying to make her marriage work. Then she had to draw on courage to let her marriage part ways.

Thinking
Questions:
What are the moments in your life when you have felt called to take a courageous stand, or to be courageous? Reflect on what happened when you were courageous.

When do you wish you could have been more courageous? What held you back?

Over the past several days/weeks/months, have you seen examples of people being courageous?

Has anything happened in the course of your day/week/ month where you had to summon up courage?

Is there something you have been thinking about doing but haven’t had the courage to do? Is now the time for you to do it? If you are still struggling, what help do you need or what steps can you take towards doing it.

Small Read your two other deity sheets.

Take a look at some Nordic Paganism links:

Medium: All the above PLUS

  • Try one charm from either deity sheet.
Large: All the above PLUS

DIY Mix and match your own combo from above and/or select another working that interests you related to this month’s theme.

Decoding the Secrets of Egyptian Hieroglyphs is a primer on the ins and outs of the ancient Egyptian language. By approaching the topic in a straightforward manner, you’ll be surprised at just how quickly translating these curious symbols becomes second nature. You will…

  • Build an Egyptian vocabulary.
