Cosmos: A Personal Voyage

cosmostc
Cosmos: A Personal Voyage is a thirteen-part television series written by Carl SaganAnn Druyan, and Steven Soter, with Sagan as presenter. It covers a wide range of scientific subjects, including the origin of life and a perspective of our place in the universe. Cosmos: A Personal Voyage has been considered highly significant since its broadcast; David Itzkoff of The New York Times described it as “a watershed moment for science-themed television programming”.[4]

Volunteering

We have leaders for Mabon and Samhain.  If you would like to help volunteer for either one, email us at mysticgrove@orlandouu.org so we can connect you to the right leader.

Volunteer opportunities typically are in areas such as

  • help design the ritual, organize volunteer jobs
  • help set up for ritual on the day
  • be a greeter, call a corner, do a reading, etc in ritual
  • organize potluck tables, wash dishes, ziplock leftovers to take home
  • help cleanup other areas

Spontaneous helpers “on the day” are always welcome. Just show up early at 6 PM and ask the ritual leader where you can assist. Many hands make light work!

MG ANNIVERSARY AND CUUPS MEMBERSHIP

Mystic Grove is celebrating 15 years as a group this year!

In June 2016 the Mystic Grove also became a member  of  The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS).

CUUPS is an organization dedicated to networking Pagan-identified Unitarian Universalists (UUs), educating people about Paganism, promoting interfaith dialogue, developing Pagan liturgies and theologies, and supporting Pagan-identified UU religious professionals.

We will be working on updating our Charter to meet CUUPS requirements over the course of the year.

SEE YOU SOON!

It’s looking like a full plate for Fall. We’re excited to serve the Greater Orlando pagan community and hope to see you at some of our events!
