This is an intergenerational class for families with kids and adults who are young at heart. It is “drop in friendly” so you can come to all the classes or just the ones you like.
In this 6 session summer start series on 2nd Sundays, we explore the selections from “Popcorn Theology for All Ages” — the latest from the “popcorn collection.”
- examines how the choices we make affect our lives and the lives of others
- explores how concepts such as truth and meaning are related to perspective and point of view
- helps students understand ways in which emotions such as fear, sadness, hurt and anger often motivate the actions of people
- helps students consider ways in which our faith can help us understand our questions, seek answers, and deal with the challenges of life
Students will watch a movie, discuss themes from the movie, and do related fun activities. Popcorn and lemonade will be provided!
Classes in this series are free. When you come to class, a $5 love offering is welcome to help replenish supplies.
Interested in helping to host a session?
You will be paired with an experienced Mystic Grove teacher. You can pick the movie from the Table of Contents, and we will email you the PDF lesson plan. On the day, you serve the refreshments, hit play on the movie, and offer the discussion questions afterward. Perfect opportunity for aspiring teachers!
Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to help teach one session.
